Frequently Asked Questions - Free Shipping Offer: Is SaltWorks shipping really FREE? Yes, on qualifying orders placed online and shipped via UPS Ground shipping anywhere in the contiguous United States. Additional shipping charges will apply for Alaska, Hawaii and international destinations. Faster shipping services will require a fee. If you have any questions about the offer please call our toll free number (800) 353-7258 or email sales@saltworks.us. What do I need to do to get free shipping? Nothing! Free ground shipping is automatically calculated at checkout. (No code required). What qualifies for free shipping? Any orders placed online on which additional discounts are not applied. Retail orders only. What does not qualify? Orders with additional discounts applied, i.e.: bulk orders with total weight pricing applied and wholesale orders, etc. Weight and volume restrictions will also apply. *If an order is placed online that does not qualify for free shipping, the customer will be contacted by customer service to make other satisfactory arrangements for delivery. Frequently Asked Questions - Shipping: When do orders ship? Order received by 2:30 pm (PST) usually ship the same day. Orders placed after 2:30 pm, on National Holidays or on the weekends ship the next business day after your order is placed. UPS cannot deliver to P.O. or APO boxes. UPS does not deliver on Saturday. What shipping carriers do you use? Most order are shipped UPS. USPS and FedEx are shipped only by special request and may require additional handling fees. Please call if you have a special request concerning this. How are large orders shipped? Large orders that are too heavy and cannot be shipped UPS are shipped by truck freight (Common Carrier). Large orders (over 250lbs.) will be shipped via truck lines. Based on your location and the available shipper’s policy you may be charged a residential delivery drop charge and/or a lift gate fee. We encourage you to arrange a commercial delivery address or to pick up your truck delivery at the terminal if possible. Truck orders must be quoted via phone. When will I know my order has been shipped? You will receive a UPS tracking number via email once your order has shipped to the e-mail you provide during checkout. How fast will I get my order? Please see the UPS transit time Ground map below. We also offer Next Day Air, 2 Day Air & 3 Day Select for faster transit. UPS Ground Days-In-Transit Map Below is a map of the United States that shows how long it will take for an order shipped via UPS Ground to reach its destination. All delivery times shown are estimates, as UPS does not guarantee delivery time on Ground shipping. Please keep this in mind if time is critical. Days in transit begins on the first business day after an order is shipped. All transit days are business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays). *This map is a general representation of UPS Ground transit times. ![]() How are shipping charges calculated? We use UPS software that calculates shipping charges based off of weight and destination zip code. We charge only the amount UPS charges us. We ship over a million pounds a year with UPS and receive a substantial shipping discount. Why do you need my contact number and e-mail? We must have accurate contact information in case of product backorders or delivery issues. UPS also requires a phone number for all deliveries to contact in case of any issues at the time of attempted delivery. Also, your e-mail address is used to send your order confirmation and tracking information for your shipment. Your information will never be sold or shared with any third parties. Do you ship internationally? We can offer international shipping. Quotes will be provided on a case-by-case basis. Shipping charges are based on the weight of your parcel and will be accurately displayed in your online shopping cart (subject to offline verification). Please note that customs duties, taxes, and other import fees may be imposed on shipments separately from the shipping cost by some countries. SaltWorks cannot be responsible for these charges. We urge you to check with local authorities regarding these charges prior to ordering if you are not already familiar with them. Please check the appropriate box in the shopping cart indicating your acceptance of any duties and taxes. We will not be able to process your order without this verification.
